Thread-leaved Phacelia (Phacelia linearis)

The prettiest of our local Phacelia species, this one is relatively short in
sandy soil and blooms fairly early in the Spring sporting one to six
blossoms per single 2" to 4" stem. When better growing conditions allow,
they can branch and grow taller, sometimes becoming covered with their
lovely red-violet flowers. These small plants are not generally visible
until you are within a few feet of them.
