Okanogan Chapter Volunteer Opportunities

Our chapter cares for a short stretch of Highway 20 between Winthrop and Twisp. We meet repeatedly in the growing season to remove invasives by hand-pulling and to broadcast native plant seed. We have an agreement with Wa. St. DOT to block herbicide spray there. We always welcome anyone interested in participating. Contact Joyce Bergen, 509-996-7808, or magpie@methownet.com.

Until the 2010 growing season, our volunteer activities go into dormancy. Look for our annual meeting to be announced in February, 2010.
