Donating plants to the CPS chapter nursery

It’s autumn and the season when we get our gardens prepped for winter.  Have your native plants been growing freely all summer and have perhaps spread beyond their borders? If so, as you dig out these wandering natives think of the WNPS nursery and next year’s plant sales.

Your donations are extremely valuable--each plant we receive from donations is 100% profit for the plant sales.  The sales are the major fundraisers for the chapter and our many educational, conservation and restoration projects.  So please consider contributing your excess shrubs to WNPS.

And donating is really easy! Just bring your plants to the Magnuson Park nursery and our crew of volunteers will pot them up.  Seedlings are also valued but you will need to pot them up yourself, or you can bring them to the nursery on the day of a work party, the first Monday of each month.  If you need pots, we have many smaller sizes we will gladly give you.
