WNPS Native Plant Stewardship Current Programs

The WNPS Native Plant Stewardship Program is expanding to make training available to all chapters around the state. Curricula vary to reflect each chapter’s unique ecoregions, conservation priorities, and human communities, while maintaining core components such as basic botany, the identification of locally important native and invasive plants, the roles of native plants in local plant communities and wildlife habitats, the use of native plants in habitat restoration, gardens, and landscapes, and techniques of ecological restoration. Training components may be added or modified to meet the needs of local WNPS chapters, and their partners in the community.
