The WNPS plans to coordinate the Native Plant Stewardship Program in Seattle again in 2011 (contingent on funding sources).

The 10-week training will be held on Fridays from April 29th through July 9th, 2011 in Seattle. Training classes are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm and will be held at Camp Long and at Pritchard Beach.   This training is taught by top professionals on various topics such as native plants, habitat restoration and northwest ecology. In exchange for this free training, stewards will commit to 100 hours of volunteer service implementing the skills learned in these classes.

For more information regarding the Native Plant Stewardship Program contact Deb Gurney at npsp_kc@wnps.org  206-200-3310, or call the WNPS office directly at 206-527-3210, 1-888-288-8022.

The Native Plant Stewardship Program is an education project of the Washington Native Plant Society's Central Puget Sound Chapter and is made possible by funding from supporting agencies and foundations.
