Examples of Snohomish County Steward Projects
The Native Plant Stewardship Program began in 1996 and has since trained 288 stewards who have contributed over 47,000 reported volunteer hours promoting the awareness, appreciation, education and restoration of native plants in Washington state. Stewards commit 100 hours of service in the year following the training to various restoration projects in their communities. The stewards have established a legacy of volunteer involvement at certain projects, while other projects have just recently been initiated. The current projects that stewards will be working on in King County for the 2005-2006 year can be explored through the links above.
